**City of Tallahassee Utilities
The City of Tallahassee provides electric, water and sewer, natural gas, garbage, recycling, and stormwater management services to residents within the City limits. It also provides electric, water and sewer, and natural gas services to some areas outside the city limits.

Written requests should include a name(s), address, drivers license or Florida ID number, Social Security number, and a date for service initiation or termination.
You can also initiate new utility service, transfer an existing utility account or stop existing utility service in person at the Customer Account Services office on the first floor of the Frenchtown Renaissance Building, 435 North Macomb Street, from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

You can request a transfer of your utility account by FAX. FAX the completed form to: (850)891-0901. For FAX form, please refer to the Utility website.
You can transfer or stop your utility services by using our new phone services at 891-4968. Connection fees apply to transfers.

You can initiate new utility service directly on the internet by going to Utility Online Services
Deposits and Connection Fees
Are there deposits?
Yes, there are deposits required for each utility service. However, a letter from your previous or current utility company indicating at least two years of service with a good paying record may eliminate any deposit requirement. This letter should be presented at the time you hook-up.
Are there service connection fees?
Yes, service connection fees apply to utility accounts that are new, transferring service or reconnecting due to being cut off for non-payment.

- 8digit meter # from the meter at the property…..# is near the barcode
- Drivers license
- Social Security card
